IG Trades Despite LSE Glitch

Despite the London Stock Exchange suspending trading on Monday 8 September due to a technical problem, IG Index and IG Markets were able to continue offering competitive markets on the top 40 stocks in the UK.

The LSE was affected for much of the trading day as technical difficulties kept the session on hold from just after 0900 BST until 1600 BST.

However, IG Index was the only UK spread betting firm and IG Markets the only UK CFD provider to continue offering live online prices during this period, thanks to our superior trading technology and connectivity to alternative trading venues.

Although some prices were affected, we offered live online prices for the top 40 UK stocks.
